Bikes Babes Beer
Friday was our day to live it up in Laconia on the last weekend of Bike Week. The pipes were roaring and the beer was flowing. What was forecasted to be a horrible day weather-wise turned out to be anything but. As soon as we passed Dover on our way north, the skies turned blue and the heat started rising. By the time we got there, the day was perfect. We did the loop once, then found parking on the strip on the first try. We walked around checking out vendors, then found a perch on the deck of the place right at the entrance to the strip (never can remember the name of the place). The perfect spot to down a few cold ones and watch the action- it's the busiest intersection. The waitresses were scantily clad in boy-cut panties and chaps, which just added to the scenery. Brandon came w/ Laura and I, so it was nice to have a guy with us to bounce some of my off color comments off of to keep Laura's sanity. From here we walked around some more and then ducked inside for some shade and another frosty beverage or two at the other end of the strip. Here we met quite a few friendly people to talk to. We also got to see a beauty contest of sorts, though it was a no nudity thing. Just skimpy bikini's. Still a fun event. I tried to get Laura to enter, but she declined. We chatted with a freelance photographer for awhile, and watched in amusement when we would see women showing off their goods for the camera or for beads. Ahh, Bike Week. Where the lawyers, bankers, and doctors shed their personas and their clothes for a week of debauchery :) We walked around some more after this, then sat on the sidewalk and people watched for a few hours. Then we did the loop one more time before heading home. It was a long tiring awesome day. Can't wait til next year!
