Me Love You Long Time

So we took advantage of Laura's free tix to Meadowbrooks last night to go see the Allman Brothers. It was a blast. The tickets said gen admin, which is lawn seating in the far back of the venue. We carried with us chairs so we could sit down, however were delighted to hear at the gate that our tickets provided us entry to the exclusive VIP area, which was not in fact the farthest point from the stage, but one of the closest, and was a fenced off area with it's own bar (one of few at the place) and the only one with mixed drinks. And we finally settled in at a point just off the end of the 15th row. Not too shabby! We did manage to find a place behind the biggest drunken idiot in the place. He was so sloshed he was holding his beer at a 45 degree angle and having trouble standing, which would of course cause beer to spill out of his cup everytime he staggered. He dropped a whole one at one point and kept spilling on Laura's open toed shoes. He was probably in his late 30's. And he isn't the point of this post.

His buddy was.

Also in his late 30's / early 40's, his buddy was much more composed and sober. Clean cut, kakhi shorts, tennis shirt. Flanking his side was a short little Asian girl. She was probably 5'2", 95 lbs. soaking wet. She was wearing skimpy shorts, and a tiny little half shirt. She was covered in glo sticks that were wrapped around her legs and arms. Easily 10 or 15 years younger than this guy. When the music started, she would dance very provocatively, so Shawn quickly got my attention and pondered if she was a stripper or not. I agreed she probably was. Heather concurred. When we queried Laura she said "I was thinking she was a prostitue." "Ah, she one up'ed us." Shawn said.

Well, Shawn and I left to go use the bathroom, and the girls finally let their curiosity get the better of them. Laura finally gave the guy a subtle tap on the shoulder.

He turned around and she said, "We just had to ask. Is that girl your girlfriend?"

He replied, "I guess you could say that."

Laura said, "We thought she was a dancer," to which he gave Laura a gentle poke in the stomach and with a sly grin replied, "You're too kind."
